Erase doubt and ask questions about fertility treatment
When you have questions about fertility treatment in Connecticut, our philosophy at Park Avenue Fertility and Reproductive Medicine is simple: When in doubt, find out. IVF questions and fertility-related queries are not only welcomed, but we expect them.
Have IVF questions? We have answers
Understandably, fertility treatment can be physically and emotionally overwhelming. With so many details to track, from initial appointments to testing and treatments, it can all feel like a blur.
We fully understand this, and our staff, led by fertility expert Dr. Andrew Levi, diligently works to answer questions about fertility treatment in Connecticut. Our IVF coordinator, Michelle Falzarano, RN, guides each patient with in-office teaching sessions. But, we know juggling all the specifics is a lot. So, don’t hesitate to ask us to repeat something you’ve heard. We regularly field IVF questions of all kinds, but a few are especially common.
- Dosage dilemmas. The types of medication and dosages used in IVF treatment are customized. Since this is not a one-size-fits-all proposition, don’t go to Dr. Google with IVF questions, just contact us! Medication is carefully prescribed, and it varies from person to person. For example, during the ovarian stimulation process, some take medication once a day, others twice a day.
- Injection consternation. A common source of questions about fertility treatment involves self-administering injections. We understand you’re not a trained professional, which is why you have us on your team. Phone calls are always welcome if you’re unsure about where to inject medication or how to do it.
- Topics of timing. IVF is carefully choreographed, and timing matters. If you’re taking medicine twice daily during ovarian stimulation, we generally recommend spacing it 12 hours apart. Your “trigger shot” is administered 36 hours before egg retrieval. It’s normal to want to double-check these details, so contact us if you’re not sure.
- Expect the unexpected. We recognize patients have a lot to deal with, and sometimes, life happens. We work to keep you on track, but if you miss a dose of medication, contact us as soon as possible and ask what modifications might be necessary. We are always available to answer all of your questions about fertility treatment.
No fertility treatment question is too small
